A Quick Overview

Setting the Stage

This online program has been carefully and intentionally designed to equip you with the insights and tools needed to confidently pursue and secure your next career opportunity. We want to be upfront: much of the conventional advice out there has little real impact in helping you become the candidate of choice. Frankly, a lot of it is outdated—unchanged for decades—while the job market and employer expectations have evolved significantly.

That’s why we’ve set a high benchmark: to help you become the best at this process. And we share that ambition with you.

We believe there are powerful, strategic ways to differentiate yourself and gain a genuine competitive edge in your job search. It’s no longer enough to simply be a candidate—you need to be at the top of the list, standing out clearly and confidently from the competition.

The Davidson Way was created to help you understand what it truly takes to build a meaningful career—and what you need to know to land the role you want, in the company and culture that’s right for you. Here’s the truth: most people struggle to speak about themselves in a way that’s both compelling and authentic. And yet, this is exactly what sets you apart.

To do this well, we may need to unlearn some outdated habits and adopt a fresh perspective. Our goal is to support you in developing the clarity and confidence to talk about yourself with purpose and impact.

This program will challenge you to think differently—or at the very least, to remain open to new ideas and perspectives. To be seen differently, we must think differently. That’s where your ‘splash of colour’ comes in—your unique perspective, value, and voice.

One of the challenges we face in today’s world is the influence of groupthink. We’re often conditioned to follow familiar patterns. Through this program, we aim to disrupt that—to help you break free of limiting norms and approach your career with originality and intention.

We’re here to challenge and support you — because we know you’re capable of more.

We need to rethink what it takes to get that next role, in a VUCA world, a world that is changing fast and challenging us to change with it. VUCA stands for volatile, uncertain, complex and ambitious, all words that could be applied to our current work environment and the process that we need to go through to be successful in this transition. By the time you have completed the process, you will:

Understand the job search process in greater detail and what’s involved in being successful.

Break through to new ways of thinking about self and story .. and deliver a compelling message.

Get better results from job seeking activity and be more productive and impactful in your search.

Learn to tell a career story that is structured, concise and impactful.

Gain competitive advantage through broader understanding of human behaviour and the way that we relate

What’s important to you and what do you want out of this program?

It’s important that you have a clear and distinct focus on outcomes that are going to benefit you. This is much more than a resume building program. You will learn things here that you will use in many aspects of your life, if you choose to invest time in reflection and understanding.

Remember …

Take your time going through the process ….. the  benefits are ongoing.  Spend time in the activities and reflect on the articles and the clips. They are all designed to raise your awareness and develop competitive advantage.

A Few Things to Think About.

What we are going to ask of you is not easy. If it was, everyone would be doing it. We are going to ask you to be reflective, curious, insightful and intuitive. We are going to ask you to think differently about yourself and see yourself in a different way and we are going to ask you to talk about yourself in a different way.

We are going to ask you to be proud of yourself, your achievements and your gifts. Not that ‘over the top boasting’ type of pride, but to develop an inner confidence that your gifts are worthy of employment and that you are proud of your achievements and career to date.

We are going to ask you to be humble and open to the areas of deficiency that you have and we are going to use this to your advantage. (More on that later).
