This online program has been carefully and thoughtfully designed to equip you with information that will assist you to nail that next career opportunity and get the next role you go for. We want to be upfront with you and say this …. most of the stuff that is out there has little to no impact on helping you become the ‘candidate of choice’. We think it’s pretty ’nuff’ and hasn’t really changed in about 50 years, however, the market has and so has the expectations of employers. So, the benchmark we set for you is to become the best at this ….. we share that aspiration.

We think that there are ways of gaining a distinct and compelling competitive advantage in your job search strategy.  

We think that it’s not good enough to be a candidate, you need to be at the head of the list. In fact so good, that you standout above your competitors. 

The YellowBox Way has been created to assist people to understand what it takes to build a career and what we need to understand, if you want to get the role you want with the company and people that you want. The bottom line is this. Most people don’t know how to talk about themselves in an interesting and compelling way, yet this is the very thing which differentiates us from those are around us. We need to learn a few new things, to give us the confidence to talk about ourselves with more openness and clarity.

In order for us to unpack a few of these ideas, we want you to challenge yourself to think differently, or at least be open to the ideas that we or others put forward. To be seen differently, we must think differently. We have to find our ‘splash of colour.

One of the issues we have in society today, is the prevalence of group think. We are all conditioned to think certain ways. We want to try and break that a little through this program as we think about our careers.

We need to rethink what it takes to get that next role, in a VUCA world, a world that is changing fast and challenging us to change with it. VUCA stands for volatile, uncertain, complex and ambitious, all words that could be applied to our current work environment and the process that we need to go through to be successful in this transition. By the time you have completed the process, you will:

Break through to new ways of thinking about self and story .. and deliver a compelling message.

Get better results from job seeking activity and be more productive and impactful in your search.

Learn to tell a career story that is structured, concise and impactful.

What’s important to you and what do you want out of this program?

It’s important that you have a clear and distinct focus on outcomes that are going to benefit you. This is much more than a resume building program. You will learn things here that you will use in many aspects of your life, if you choose to invest time in reflection and understanding. 

A Few Things to Think About.

What we are going to ask of you is not easy. If it was, everyone would be doing it. We are going to ask you to be reflective, curious, insightful and intuitive. We are going to ask you to think differently about yourself and see yourself in a different way and we are going to ask you to talk about yourself in a different way.

We are going to ask you to be proud of yourself, your achievements and your gifts. Not that ‘over the top boasting’ type of pride, but to develop an inner confidence that your gifts are worthy of employment and that you are proud of your achievements and career to date.

We are going to ask you to be humble and open to the areas of deficiency that you have and we are going to use this to your advantage. (More on that later).
